Choosing a hijab online is easier when you separate two decisions: the fabric you enjoy wearing and the way you want to put it on. Chiffon and jersey describe fabric styles; instant describes a ready-to-wear construction. An instant hijab can therefore be made from chiffon or jersey.
This guide compares styles in the Divinity Collection range to help you choose for work, daily wear or an occasion. Measurements, fabric blends and wearing instructions vary, so use the individual product page for the final details.
Choose chiffon for a flowing wrap
Our plain chiffon hijabs use georgette-chiffon with a soft drape. A separate wrap scarf lets you arrange the fabric around your face and adjust the length at the front. If you enjoy coordinating a scarf with a dress, chiffon gives you plain colours as well as floral and patterned options.
For example, our black chiffon hijab has rectangle measurements of 180 × 65 cm and a square option of 130 × 130 cm. These measurements apply to that product; check shape availability before ordering. An undercap and the way you layer the fabric influence the finished coverage.
Choose jersey if you prefer stretch
Jersey hijabs suit shoppers who like a soft, stretchy fabric and a relaxed wrap. Jersey is a fabric construction rather than a guarantee of a particular fibre blend, weight or size.
Our navy cotton jersey wrap, for example, is listed as 95% cotton and 5% spandex and measures 170 × 60 cm. Other jersey styles can differ. Compare the measurements with a scarf you already find comfortable rather than assuming every jersey hijab will fit the same way.
Choose instant for a defined wearing method
If you prefer fewer styling steps, start with the instant hijab collection. Read how each design is worn: a one-piece opening, an attached undercap and a two-piece Al Amira are different constructions.
The Black Instant Jersey Hijab and Mocha version have a built-in face opening. Slip on, wrap the long side and adjust the drape; these designs do not require pins or magnets. The Ivory Instant Chiffon Hijab combines chiffon with an attached matching ruched closed cap and measures 170 × 60 cm.
Rectangle or square?
A rectangle gives you a long shape to wrap and drape. A square can be folded into a triangle before styling. Neither shape guarantees a particular level of coverage: scarf size, your wrap method and any undercap all matter. Check whether a listed measurement refers to the full scarf or a particular part of an instant design.
Build a comfortable outfit
Choose a hijab cap or underscarf according to the coverage and fit you prefer. For wrap scarves, compare fastening accessories; magnetic pairs hold layers without piercing the fabric, while safety pins fasten through it. You may not need either with an instant design.
For Australian summer days, consider the complete outfit and how many layers you plan to wear. Fabric weight and fit matter alongside the fabric name. For a dressier outfit, start with your dress colour and compare a plain or printed scarf to suit it.
